Clamps and Gaskets is a weekly wrap-up of stories that I have not posted at Yours For Good Fermentables.com, but that, nevertheless, I find interesting or germane.
Most are concerned with beer, or wine, or whisk(e)y. Some are not. But all are brief. And many are re-posts from my Twitter account: twitter.com/cizauskas.
This is Week 33:

I thought the current version of Primo, the "shitty beer" featured in that YouTube parody, was a new recipe developed by Southampton brewmaster, Phil Markowski through his "partnership" with Pabst. IIRC the PR stories when first released, it's primarily all-malt, with the addition of a bit of local sugar cane. (I think the kegged version was also contract brewed in Hawaii).
ReplyDeleteA strange beer to pick for the parody (considering how many other Pabst owned brands there are that haven't been "revived" with new recipes might have fit in better).
